Come join me in making cards using Flower Soft. Flower Soft is an amazing pot of coloured sprinkles that allows you to create text, designs and miniature floral embellishments, it’s acid free and is loved by card makers and scrapbookers.

Cutting Without Cartridges!
Did you know you can cut using your Cricut(R) without cartridges? Software programs such as Sure Cuts A Lot (SCAL) can cut 100s of fonts and 1000s of designs. Joe will teach you how to connect your Cricut(R) to your PC or Mac, how to cut True Type fonts, how to weld letters/shapes, how to import designs and how to trace images you find on the web. He'll also discuss how you can create your own designs. With these skills you can cut anything you can create without cartridges! If you're tired of being limited to what is available on cartridges and are curious how you can get more from your Cricut(R), this class is for you! NOTE: This is a technique-based lecture and demo class where you will LEARN many new ideas. It is NOT hands-on.

Using SCAL to Trace Images
Description: One of the most popular features of Sure Cuts A Lot (SCAL), is the ability to trace bitmap images you find on the web or scan. Join Joe for an in-depth look at this feature. He will show you how to take an image you find on the web (or scan), trace it, break it apart and convert it so you can cut it on your Cricut. Learn how to use layers and pages to make paper piecing a breeze! Joe will demonstrate on his laptop and projection screen and you can take notes from there. NOTE: This is a technique-based lecture and demo class.

Beyond The Page – A 3D Family Tree!
Description: Go beyond the page with this fun craft project! You’ll start with all the pieces of a fiber board “tree” pre-cut; the base, branches, “leafy outline” and oval frames. From there you’ll sand, paint, cover with paper and photos and distress. The finished project stands about a foot tall and has room for 7 photos. It makes a great gift! Your class fee includes the fiber board tree, 2 sheets of paper, pre-cut oval frames and banners, 2 bottles of acrylic paint, and 2 sponge brushes!
What To Bring To Class: Brown ink to distress the edges of your tree, heavy duty Emory boards/sanding block/file to smooth the edges of your tree, craft knife & cutting mat to trim the paper around your tree, scissors, pencil.
